چکیده

Many nonlinear quantum phenomena of intense laser-atom physics can be intuitively explained with the concept of trajectory. In this paper, Bohmian mechanics (BM) is introduced to study a multiphoton process of atoms interacting with the intense laser field: above-threshold ionization (ATI). Quantum trajectory of an atomic electron in intense laser field is obtained from the BohmNewton equation first and then the energy of the photoelectron is gained from its trajectory. With energies of an ensemble of photoelectrons, we obtain the ATI spectrum which is consistent with the previous theoretical and experimental results. Comparing BM with the classical trajectory Monte-Carlo method, we conclude that quantum potential may play a key role to reproduce the spectrum of ATI. Our work may present a new approach to understanding quantum phenomena in intense laser-atom physics with the image of trajectory. ∗Electronic address: [email protected]

Classical-quantum correspondence for above-threshold ionization.

We measure high resolution photoelectron angular distributions (PADs) for above-threshold ionization of xenon atoms in infrared laser fields. Based on the Ammosov-Delone-Krainov theory, we develop an intuitive quantum-trajectory Monte Carlo model encoded with Feynman's path-integral approach, in which the Coulomb effect on electron trajectories and interference patterns are fully considered. We...

Dissociative Autoionization in (1 + 2)-photon above Threshold Excitation of H2 Molecules

We have theoretically studied the effect of dissociative autoionization on the photoelectron energy spectrum in (1+2)-photon above threshold ionization (ATI) of H2 molecules. We have considered excitation from the ground XΣg (v = 0, j) state to the doubly excited autoionizing states of Σu and Πu symmetry, via the intermediate resonantBΣu (v = 5, j) states. We have shown that the photoelectron e...

Precision calculation of above-threshold multiphoton ionization in intense short-wavelength laser fields: The momentum-space approach and time-dependent generalized pseudospectral method

We present an approach in momentum (P) space for the accurate study of multiphoton and above-threshold ionization (ATI) dynamics of atomic systems driven by intense laser fields. In this approach, the electron wave function is calculated by solving the P-space time-dependent Schrödinger equation (TDSE) in a finite P-space volume under a simple zero asymptotic boundary condition. The P-space TDS...

Intensity-resolved above-threshold ionization of xenon with short laser pulses

We present intensity-resolved above-threshold ionization (ATI) spectra of xenon using an intensity scanning and deconvolution technique. Experimental data were obtained with laser pulses of 58 fs and a central wavelength of 800 nm from a chirped-pulse amplifier. Applying a deconvolution algorithm, we obtained spectra that have higher contrast and are in excellent agreement with characteristic t...

Trajectory-resolved Coulomb focusing in tunnel ionization of atoms with intense, elliptically polarized laser pulses.

In strong-field light-matter interactions, the strong laser field dominates the dynamics. However, recent experiments indicate that the Coulomb force can play an important role as well. In this Letter, we have studied the photoelectron momentum distributions produced from noble gases in elliptically polarized, 800 nm laser light. By performing a complete mapping of the three-dimensional electro...
